About this blackjack demo
This is Fun888's free blackjack demo, played against the dealer with play-money chips and standard casino rules. The goal is simple: get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. It is a risk-free way to learn the flow of a hand and practise basic decisions before you play for real.
How to play
Set your bet and press Deal. You and the dealer each get two cards, with one of the dealer's face down. Hit to draw another card, Stand to keep your total, or Double to put down a matching bet in exchange for exactly one more card. Go over 21 and you bust; otherwise the dealer reveals and draws to 17, and the higher hand wins. A two-card 21 is blackjack and pays 3:2.
Card values
Number cards are worth their face value, the jack, queen and king are each worth 10, and the ace counts as 11 or 1, whichever helps your hand most. A "soft" hand is one where an ace is still counting as 11, which means you can hit it without any risk of busting on that card.
Basic strategy tips
Basic strategy is the mathematically best play for every hand, and it turns blackjack into one of the lowest-edge games in the casino. A few starting rules: always stand on hard 17 or higher, always hit hard 11 or lower, and stand on 12-16 only when the dealer shows a weak card (2-6). Never take insurance. Master those and you are already playing better than most players at the table.
